Kolohe – 21-Year-Old Quarter Horse Pony
Kolohe is a 21-year-old quarter horse pony. Kolohe was donated to our program by a horse rescue that had acquired him through a caring supporter. Kolohe is one of the key horses in our kids programs at LRTEP. He’s used for English and Western lessons, as well as children’s equine therapy activities.
Due to past abuse, Kolohe requires corrective hoof care and special shoes along with the attendance of a vet. So, we’re looking for sponsors to help with ongoing farrier and veterinary care requirements.
Dolce – 25-Year-Old Quarter Horse
Dolce is a 25-year-old Quarter Horse that was donated to LRTEP by his loving owner who wanted him to have a good home, though he no longer suited her personal riding needs. Dolce is a key part of our beginner lessons and our adults with disabilities program given his mellow attitude.
Dolce is a great guy that’s looking for a sponsor to help offset his day-to-day feed and bedding costs.
Kahu – 20-Year-Old PMU/Draft Cross
Kahu is a 20-year-old draft cross. Kahu was donated to a local horse rescue due to possible neurological issues that made him unsuitable for 3-day eventing. After a year of assessment, the vet decided that he was a sound horses that just wasn’t suitable for what his previous owner had wanted him for. Eight years later, he’s become an integral part of our adults with disabilities programs.
This gentle giant requires no shoes; but due to his size, requires a lot of feed and bedding. Kahu is also available for lease, so please contact us for more information.
Miles – 22-Year-Old Arabian Gelding

Colton is the latest addition to our program. He is a chestnut quarter paint horse standing 16.0 hands high. Colton belongs to one of our supporters and is on a permanent loan to the program so that we can service more adult clients. He was originally used for cutting, then dressage and now he loves to work with our program member. We are pretty sure his favorite tasks are – GROOMING and LOVE!
