Register For Our Spring Horse Show This May!

Register for our Spring Horse Show Taking Place Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the barn! You can REGISTER ONLINE or print out your registration by DOWNLOADING THE ENTRY FORM and mailing it to us!


Front Arena

9:00 AM: Introduction

9:15am | Equitation L: Walk on Lead Line: Walk in a circle, stop, reverse direction and back the horse up.

9:30am | Equitation C1: Walk/Trot on Lead Line: Walk and/or trot along the rail/ fence, circle, stop, reverse directions and back up their horse.

9:45am | Equitation C2: Walk/Trot on Lead Line: Walk and/or trot along the rail/ fence, circle, stop, reverse directions and back up their horse.

10:00am | Equitation Class B | Walk/Trot Only: Walk and/or trot along the rail/ fence, circle, stop, reverse directions and back up their horse.

10:15 am | Equitation Class A | Walk/Trot/Canter: Walk, trot and canter both directions of the ring. Rider may be asked to ride along the rail/fence, move in a circle, reverse direction, stop and back their horses up independently.

10:30am | Jump Up To 1’2 (Beginners): Rider must be able to guide and ride correctly over up to 6 ground and/or cross bar jumps in the appropriate course.

11:00 am | Jumper Up to 2’ 6” (Intermediate): Riders must be able to safely jump up to at least 6 jumps up to 2’6” in the correct pattern.

11:30 am | Dollar Ride A (Advanced): Ride do stretching exercises, walk, trot, posting trot, canter independently and bareback while holding the dollar under your seat/leg. Last person with the dollar wins all the dollars dropped in the class.

11:45 am | Dollar Ride B (Beginners): Riders do stretching exercises, walk and trot bareback while holding the dollar under their seat/legs. Last person with the dollar wins all the dollars dropped in the class

12:00 – 1:00 pm LUNCH

1:00 pm | Toilet Ribbon Ride (Advanced Pairs Class): Riders must be able to ride closely to another rider while holding a strip of ribbon between the two riders. Riders may be asked to walk, trot and canter, circle, figure 8, serpentine, reverse directions, stop and back your horses. If the toilet paper is dropped or ripped, riders are disqualified. Last pair with the “whole” strip of toilet paper, are the winner!

1:15 pm Toilet Ribbon Ride (Beginners Pair Class): Riders must be able to ride closely to one another while holding on to a strip of ribbon. Riders may be asked to walk in a circle, figure 8, reverse directions, stop and back their horses up while holding on to the strip of toilet paper. If the toilet paper is dropped or ripped, riders are disqualified. Last pair to have the “whole” strip of toilet paper, are the winners.

1:30 pm | Ground Game: Horse Noodle Race: Riders put the pool noodle between their legs and must run from one end of the arena to the other. Rider may only use their legs to hold the noodle while running. If they touch the noodle with their hands other than to pick it off the ground, they are disqualified. Last rider with the noodle between his/her leg is the winner.

Back Arena

All Morning, As Riders Are Available:

9:30 am – 11:45 am | Obstacle Course A (Advanced): Riders will be asked to memorize the obstacle course and ride their horses safely and correctly through the course.

9:30 am – 11:45 am | Obstacle Course B (Beginners): Riders may have a leader and/or a side walker. Riders will be asked to ride through the obstacle course safely and correctly.

1:00 pm – 3:00 pm | Advanced Pole Bending (A): This is a timed event. Rider must bend (get around) the poles as fast as they can. Winner has the fastest time.

1:00 pm – 3:00 pm | Beginner Pole Bending (B): This class allows leaders and side walkers.
This is a timed event. Rider must get around the poles as fast as they can. Winner has the fastest time.
